Dennis Gets Heroes Welcome at Rainbow Bridge

DAWID Dennis A. Dawid, 63, of West Haven passed away at Connecticut Hospice on February 17, 2010.

Loving husband for the past 44 years of Karen Piepenbring Dawid. He is also survived by his sons Leigh Dawid and his wife Susan, and Todd Dawid and his wife Alyssa all of Milford, his five grandchildren: Kevin, Stephanie, Alexa, Jack, and Mya, and his brother Richard Dawid of Monroe.

Dennis was the owner/operator of Dawid Manufacturing in Milford for many years and most recently moving to Ansonia. He was a member of the Windjammers Sailing Club and was active with Pups without Partners.

The hours for visitation will be SUNDAY from 3 to 7p.m. at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green, with a funeral service at 6:15pm. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to Pups Without Partners Greyhound Adoption 39 Wharton St. West Haven, CT 06516.

I would like as many folks from pwp to be at dennis's service I am going to call Karen to see if there is anything we can do to help the family during this difficult time. Im so saddened by this I went and saw him two weeks ago, all i can say is he is at peace now

As we embark on what looks to be a very busy year for PWP, we all will be inspired and refueled by the memory of such a soldier for the cause.

Thank you Dennis, for always being there, for always keeping your friends in your heart be it man or beast and for waving the flag for adoption until the end. Peace my friend.
