Many of you already have heard about the old brood mom Snow Tiger we brought in from Kansas,. For those of you who havent im gonna tell you the story.

A while back one of our volunteers got chatting with a vet in Kansas about some of the old golden girls who needed homes.

She asked if we could take one in if she volunterred to foster her. I was a little unsure as we have trouble finding homes for young greys but decided that yes this girl needed a home too. So plans were made. We asked the vet out there to spay her and do her teeth and vaccinations. All was done at reduced cost roughly 250.00. Travel arrangements were made and a volunteer actually went out and got her. Once she was here all was well, until she slipped and began holding up her rear leg. Being a pessimist, i figured great we got a dog with an un repaired broken leg or god forbid worse a ruptured tendon. Arrangements were made and she came to my house for and "exam" I saw the swelling and wrapped it up and we arranged for her to get xray. The whole time im trying to figure what credit card i can Max out for surgery. Early two weeks ago our pretty Snow Tiger went for her xrays. Whenever the vet calls me before 8am i know its not good. Our poor girl has advanced ostosarcoma which has already spread to her lungs. Everyone was shocked. The vet wants me to keep wrapping it "dr penny" style and when the time comes she will go peacefully. She will stay with her foster family that are giving her the time of her life. IT sucks we lost money and we are spending money on a dog that will not last until summer ( if i can help it she will last longer) but we have made the decision that when its to hard for her we will let her go. Its not about money as she is so deserving a life whether its to short or not she deserves love and boy is she getting it. Im hoping that some folks can donate a few bucks to help cover the costs of the materials we need to keep her comfortable. We have already agreed that when the time comes she will be cremated and have her own urn in a real home, so thats an added expense. if anyone can help we sure could use it. To be honest i could care a less what WE have to spend but I have to keep in mind that others are waiting. If you can help please send donation to
