Hi I'm Mike Volkmar. I maintain this site and pupswithoutpartners.org as well as help with our literature, posters and meet and greets.

Together with my wife Beth and son Cole we are owned by Phoebe and Markie who you have probably seen in photos on the home page. We've had Phoebe about 3 years and Markie 1.5 years. Our first greyhound was Casey, who we got directly off the track at Shoreline Star in 2000.

Phoebe (aka Factor) is a beautiful red faun girl with a nasty dispositon towards other dogs. You won't see her at too many meet n' greets.

Markie (aka Mark's Gold) on the other hand, is a big dumb boy who thinks he's a black lab with his high energy and constantly wagging tail.

hey mike - i saw your welcome to me in my mailbox on yahoo.com but don't see it here (not that i actually know where to look). one of these days i really will figure this forum out. if i weren't at my office right now i'd try chatting but i don't dare go quite that far

i have to remember to go back to the home page (wherever that is lol) and save it as a favorite.

i live in los angeles with my two boys, ranger (11) and bandit (9) and it's finally summer here. it was actually warm when we went out for our 6am walk this morning. not sure the boys are thrilled about that but the a/c is on, the fans are on, and they get to relax at home while i'm at work all day so i guess they'll deal with it. they are my third and fourth hounds (had rebel first, then chaz came to live with us . . . . sadly lost both of them way too early to two different cancers so the fact that i have two seniors now is totally thrilling to me ! ! ! ! !

anyhow, better get back to work.

here's what i put on the member application . . . . . don't think it's anything new, but just in case:

actually the city is now officially "lake balboa" but the zip is the same . . . . . i'm really excited about joining this group since i grew up in WEST HAVEN although so far haven't recognized any places in the pictures. i'm mom to 2 greys - ranger, 11, and bandit, 9, and they are the loves of my life, my sanity, my partners . . . . .
