Pups Without Partners

We have new dogs coming and several in foster care. We need to get out there with some meet 'n greets.

We know that we are welcome at many pet stores, but we find that's a lot of preaching to the choir. Everyone that goes there already have pets. Not that we shouldn't go there, because the spread of information and letting people know we're out there is important, but better locations would be places families go that aren't necessarily pet-centric.

Being that it's still winter, an inside location would be most favorable. Does anyone have any ideas? Has anyone tried Home Depot or Lowes?

Does anyone know of a downtown green type area with a lot of foot traffic that may be favorable? (Not necessarily a great winter idea.)

How about giving George a call at Blackbirch Farm in Milford on Old Gate Lane. It's a kennel daycare and obedience facility. He has a huge lobby area with a gas fireplace. I just spoke with him and he gave the ok. If he's not there, ask for Shawn his manager. Probaly a Sat morning. 203-874-0084
Good Luck!!
We could do downtown New Haven. We could do a walking tour around the Green http://www.walkingtoursofnewhaven.com/ and get coffee & sweets at Bru Cafe (when the weather warms up they have outdoor seating which is very popular for dog folks).
